Together, we can
Build a safe haven for unwanted, abused, and retired animals.
Our Impact
Ghost Orchid Ranch, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that works with community partnerships to help animals find safe sanctuary.
Retired therapy horses, Off the Track Thoroughbreds, abused dogs, unwanted birds, and even pigs and tortoises…Our ranch seeks to rehabilitate, train, or just provide a soft place to land.
Ghost Orchid Ranch also advocates for animals: we highlight those parts of the society that are broken, so we can help the animals in all possible ways to regain hope, heal, and flourish in life.
What we do…
We step in to help animals in need.
Our Mission:
Ghost Orchid Ranch is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides a safe haven for abandoned, retired, or abused animals &
promotes humane treatment for all animals and education of the human-animal bond.
We provide a peaceful sanctuary for our
animals and offer re-training and re-homing.
We Find & Fund
We are in search of opportunities to help as many animals as possible. We approach and fund those in need. We establish partnerships with other nonprofits to make sure that animals find the best outcomes.
We Teach
Today’s society has tremendous problems with abandoned and unwanted animals. We advocate and educate to form a stronger human-animal bond. We work with young people to mentor the next generation of animal lovers.
We Train
We run a small-scale training facility for horses. We take in all different breeds of horses: OTTBs, Quarter Horses, Gaited, Ponies, etc. Our horses are from various backgrounds: Racetracks, Equine-Therapy programs, Kill Pens, Show Horses, and auctions. We retrain and provide the best education to our horses so that they can be safe around humans and even athletic riding partners.
We Help
Animals that come to Ghost Orchid Ranch are finding a safe, quiet, and patient place to live and learn. Many of our animals are abused, trigger stacked, or have had rough relationships with people. We believe that slow and animal-centered care enables the animals to decompress, destress, and heal.
GIVE US A HAND
Support us and change the course of an animal’s life today!
“When we domesticated animals — for our own benefit — we took away their ability to fend for themselves and thus took on the responsibility to care for them. When you consider the number of companion animals who are abused, neglected or euthanized each year and the way we treat farm animals, you can only conclude that we are failing to live up to our obligation.”
